Michael Lee Scherwitz

Mike was a loving and doting father to River, 9, and Joely, 7. He leaves them a legacy of adventure and family bonds that can never sever. In addition to his two daughters, Mike is survived by his parents, Sue and Lee; sister Bonnie and her husband Scott; brother Chuck and his wife Theresa; and brother Russ. Mike has three nieces: Sally, Luca, and Jocelyn; three nephews: Max, Evan, and Martin. To know Mike is to know dreams and infectious optimism. To love Mike is to love family above all else, to cherish friendships that span oceans, and to be inspired to be the best version of one’s self. His life afforded him many travels. His view did not suck. He was an athlete, personal trainer, true friend, and passionate father. His ripples of influence extend ever outward. Memorial Services will be held locally on Saturday September 25th 11:30am at Champion Hills Club and additionally a memorial in Michigan at a later date.
