James C. “Jay” Jackson
James C. “Jay” Jackson grew up in the family business. He started working part time at the age of 15 with his grandfather, Clyde, Jackson’s father, Fred Jackson and his uncle, Charles Jackson. In 1990 Jay graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia. He immediately began his full-time career in funeral service and has remained with Jackson Funeral Service ever since. His pride and dedication to the family business eventually led him to take over as Owner and Manager in 2006.
Jay has volunteered with the Henderson County Cemetery Advisory Committee for over 12 years. This important committee is tasked with locating all known cemeteries in Henderson County and working to maintain not only the physical cemeteries, but also the local heritage they provide to the citizens of the county.
Jay loves the outdoors, especially golf, boating and swimming.
Andy Robinson is a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, North Carolina. He has been a valued member of the Jackson Funeral Service staff since 1997. With over 20 years of experience in the funeral industry; Andy takes pride in serving our families with dedication and experience. Andy and his wife Becky like to spend their time off time in the company of their 10 grandchildren. He has also been involved with the organization, Compassionate Friends since 2005.
Jennifer Jackson Erwin
Jennifer has worked in the family business since 2002. She currently works part-time in the administrative services. She enjoys spending time with her family, running and yoga, figuring out puzzles (thank you Jay) and volunteering with non-profit animal shelters.
Rusty Cullen has been working at Jackson Funeral Service since 2011. Rusty graduated with a degree in Funeral Directing with honors from Fayetteville Tech Community College and is a Certified Cremation Technician. He moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina from Florida in 2006 where he had a varied business career. He loves sports and animals and is an avid softball player at Jackson Park here in Hendersonville.
Roy is a lifelong resident of Western North Carolina, and grew up in Naples, North Carolina, just north of Hendersonville. He has been working in the Funeral business since 2002, the last 13 years at Jackson Funeral Service. Roy and his wife, Judy, have been married 56 years. Together they enjoy classic cars, weekends at their lake house and spending time with their church community.
Steve is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina and has been living in Hendersonville with his wife, Bonnie, since 2008. Steve has been employed at Jackson Funeral Service since 2015, where he holds many responsibilities and has been certified as a Cremation Technician. He retired from Centurylink Telephone Company with over 40 years of service. He enjoys woodworking and is a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church.
Houston “Gus” McGraw
His friends call him “Gus”, you should too. He is a member of our part time “first call” staff and can be seen around the funeral home assisting with maintenance chores as well. When not working with Jackson Funeral Service, he keeps himself busy running his own handyman business.
Tom has been working part time at Jackson Funeral Service for several years. He is a valued member of our “first call” staff and helps us with weekend services. Tom is a Buffalo Bills fan and loves playing softball.
While Dan is a part time member of the Jackson Funeral Service staff, he plays a very important role in our success. Because he is such a well-respected person in our community, he routinely assists many Funeral Services for our families. Dan is also a local businessman and a Deacon at Mountain Home Baptist Church.
Jason assists Jackson Funeral Service on a part time basis while working on our “first call” staff. He is a dedicated family man who is currently raising seven children. During the week you can find him on one of the local softball fields. On weekends he is a very active member at Calvary Baptist Church.
Keith is the newest member of the Jackson Funeral Service Staff. During the week he can be found working his regular job at Cintas Facility Services. On nights and weekends he assists on our “first call” staff. Keith enjoys motorcycling, hiking and fishing in his spare time.
