Richard Dennis Bryant, of Hillsborough NC, died peacefully Saturday, January 7 2023. He was 79 years old. Dennis most recently lived in Hendersonville NC with his wife.
He leaves behind his wife, Jenny Bryant of 53 years; Son, Richard Patrick Bryant and wife Amy; daughter, Robin Kirby and husband Todd. Also left behind are his beloved grandchildren, Amelia Bryant, Macey Bryant, Elizabeth Bryant, Hannah Kirby, and Haddie Kirby; brother, Steve Bryant of Pittsboro NC.
He was born to Richard Everett Bryant and Jessica Elizabeth Bryant in Hertford County NC in 1943. He was a 1961 graduate of Murfreesboro High School after which he enrolled in the National Guard. He attended NC State College in the early 1960’s where he received an Associate’s Degree in Agriculture. He met his wife Jenny in his hometown of Murfreesboro, and they married in 1969. They moved to Durham and then Hillsborough in 1975. Dennis began Bryant Heating and Cooling in 1977, which he operated for 31 years. Dennis served as a volunteer firefighter for many years in the Orange Grove Community and
was a Deacon at Cane Creek Baptist Church where he was a member until he passed away. He loved the science of mechanical engineering and helping his customers. He maintained an interest and appreciation of woodworking most of his life.
A memorial service will be held at Cane Creek Baptist Church in Hillsborough on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1pm with a family visitation immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cane Creek Baptist Church of Hillsborough NC.
