Clifton Thomas “Cliff” Summey, 47, of Hendersonville, North Carolina went to his Heavenly Home on Monday, July 22, 2024 at the Elizabeth House with his loving family by his side after a long battle with cancer.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grover F. Summey and Katie S. Summey and James Paul Wright and Elizabeth Cathey Wright.
He graduated from East Henderson High School in 1995, served for six years in the United States Army Reserve and worked at Auto Zone for 28 years.
He was an avid aviator, motorcycle rider, car racer and master mechanic.
Cliff most of all liked spending time with his family and his many friends.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Freda Fisher Summey; his parents, Paula Wright Summey and Samuel Thomas Summey of Flat Rock, North Carolina; his brothers, Shaun Keith Summey and his wife Angie of Clayton, North Carolina and Christopher Paul Summey and his wife Aimee of Charlotte, North Carolina and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Cliff’s Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 17, 2024 at Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Neelands officiating.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Four Seasons Elizabeth House, especially Lora McCall Harris for their care and compassion for Cliff.
