Linda Louise Reed Shehan left her earthly home for heaven on November 2, 2024. She was born May 9th,1944 to Homer Reed and Sue Lyda Reed. She was one of five children and the only girl. Her early years started in the apple fields. Whether it was playing with her brothers in the garden or swimming in the spray pond, fun was never not an option for Louise.
She later went on to attend Edneyville High School, where she graduated from the class of 1962.
She was a teacher’s assistant for 28 years at Dana Elementary. She made many lifelong friends including Wilma Lamb, Shanti Kudva, Pam Gibbs and many more that were near and dear to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her father Homer Reed, mother Mary Sue Emmie Lyda, brother Mark Reed and her daughter in love Melanie Snyder Shehan.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bobby Shehan. Her brothers Junior, Sam and George Reed and Her sisters in love Pat and Martha.
Her sons Earl, Ken and Brad and her daughters in love Tammy and Christy. Her grandchildren whom she adored. Jade Shehan, Matthew and Vanessa Shehan, Lori and Christian Howard, Katie and Caleb Skaggs, and David Shehan. She was also a Gran Gran to eight great grandchildren. Aubery, Alli, Briley, Kinsli, Ryker, Abrielle, Copen and Jasper.
She was known most of all for her kindness and loving spirit, she didn’t have an angry bone in her body and she loved deeply. She truly was a woman after God’s own heart and a minor image of Jesus’s love. We find comfort in knowing she has been embraced by God’s loving arms and now at peace with our Savior Jesus Christ.
Her celebration of life will be on Friday November 8th at 11:00 at Maranatha Baptist Church 2511 Old Spartanburg Road
