Michael Dennis Holcombe, 64, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away suddenly in his own home on Sunday, September 29, 2019.
Michael is survived by his wife, Linda, of 25 years; daughters, Amy Dhein, Hannah Holcombe; son, Christopher Holcombe; son-in-law, Robert Dhein; grandson, Ian Dhein; granddaughter, Avery Dhein; mother, Pat Bryant; stepfather, Larry Bryant, and brothers, Matt Holcombe, Mark Holcombe. Michael was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Michael was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1955. As a young man he enjoyed hiking, camping, and exploring the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. It was his love of the Blue Ridge Mountains that lead Michael to making it his permanent home. Michael was a regional manager for a large printing press company for many years before realizing his true passion was for computers. He switched careers to be a computer network specialist. He worked as a computer network specialist for 15 years but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his health. He spent his free time babysitting and spoiling his grandchildren. He also enjoyed old martial arts movies, the Japanese art of bonsai, music, photography, and was a RC enthusiast. Michael had a big heart and never failed to let his children and grandchildren know how much he loved them and how proud he was of them. He will be deeply missed.
The Family thanks everyone for their kind words, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Jackson Funeral Service and Crematory for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
Their will be a small ceremony for immediate family only. The family is following Michael’s wishes to be cremated and have his ashes spread in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
