Shannon Talmadge Stepp, 40, of Flat Rock, NC passed away on New Year’s Day 2022 at Pardee Hospital, but after a long 21 years of various medical challenges.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. He was the son of Barbara Simpson Stepp of Hendersonville and the late Talmadge “Skip” Stepp.
He graduated from East Henderson High School. After graduating, Shannon had worked in construction before enduring a brain injury which left him in an incapacitated state for the remainder of his life.
Previously, he enjoyed watching football, especially the Tennessee Volunteers. He was funny and a great guy to all who knew him.
Including his mother he is also survived by his twin brother, Shawn Stepp of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Toni Raines of Asheville; a niece, Keela Stepp of Boiling Springs, NC and two nephews, Dillon Stepp of Fayetteville, NC and Dakota Stepp of Fairbanks, Alaska.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
