Lula “Lou” Belle Capps, 87, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on Monday January 01, 2024 at her son’s home in Kings Mountain, NC.
A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Pamie Morris Williams and wife of the late Edison Capps. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Lou was a longtime member of Mountain Home Baptist Church. She loved to participate in all the church functions and activities. A florist by trade she provided flowers to the church for many years. Lou loved flowers, puzzles, crocheting and animals. Her greatest joy besides her family was helping others.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons; Albert Capps (Leny) of Concord, NC and Thomas Capps (Marlene) of Kings Mountain, NC., seven grandchildren, eleven great – grandchildren, one brother; Wayne Williams of Edneyville two sisters; Christine Jackson of Flat Rock and Joyce Anders of East Flat Rock, one sister in law; Lou Nelson of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Mountain Home Baptist Church with the Reverend Craig Garren and Reverend Chris Pace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the church.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Baptist Church Building Fund.
Beginning Saturday, January 06, 2024 the family will receive friends at Lou’s home.
