Mary Jane McCall Hoxit, 93, of East Flat Rock passed away Sunday January 05, 2025 at the Elizabeth House.
She was the daughter of the late Everett Rickman and Elvie Hogsed McCall and wife of the late Denver Hoxit. She was preceded in death by one son Chris Hoxit and eleven brothers and sisters.
A native of Transylvania County, she had been a resident of Henderson County for the past 69 years.
A devoted Christian, she was of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful cook and was happiest in her garden. She loved animals especially dogs and as her children put it “ She was the best mother in the world”
Those left to cherish her memory are her son; Gary Hoxit, two daughters; Rita H. Norton (Clifford), two grandsons, Dennis(Joyce) and Mark (Kristie) Cantrell, several great grandchildren and many neices and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 08, 2025 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Curt Crist officiating.
