James Walter “Jimmy” Nix, 75, of Flat Rock, NC went to be with the Lord, Monday, January 9, 2023 with his loving family by his side.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County.
He was the son of the late Will and Dorothy Nix and was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Nix, brothers, Sam, Benny, Marion and Wayne Nix and sisters, Nellie, Ila, Margie, Sue, Jane and Opal.
He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and attended Dana Baptist Church.
Jimmy was an apple farmer all of his life, a loving husband and a devoted father to his two boys.
He is survived by two sons, Brent Nix (Tammy) of Hendersonville and Mark Nix (Charlene) of Hendersonville; three grandkids, Gracie, Alivia and Mason and his sister, Evonne Moore of Saluda, NC.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 12th at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bryan Melton and Rev. Phillip Capell officiating.
