Don Ward
November 2, 1957 ~ January 10, 2026
Dwight Donald Ward, Sr. was born in Transylvania County to parents, Dan and Annalee Ward. He also had two brothers that predeceased him: Bob and Charles Ward.
Don is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Susan “Lynn” Ward, a sister, Becky Melinda Moore, two sons: Dwight Donald Ward, Jr. and Jeremiah Scott Ward, a daughter, Vanessa Annalee Ward, five grandchildren: Dwight D. Ward, III, Anna Jade Ward, Logan T. Hendricks, Xavier “Kota” Ward and Kam Lee Hendricks, two step-grandchildren: Tottianna Lambert and Nancy Justice, two great-grandchildren: Holden and Sebastian and three step-great-grandchildren: Khalli, Jeriko and Frankie. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Don spent most of his life in Etowah, North Carolina. He loved goats, chickens, gardening and coin collecting. But most of all he loved family. Don also leaves behind his dog, Casper, who he loved and called his “Little Buddy”
