Joyce Elizabeth Kidd Dalton, 84, went home to be with Our lord on January 13, 2022. She was born August 1, 1937, was lifelong resident of Henderson County and was the daughter of the late Charles Scarborough and Lois Chinea Kidd. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 yrs. Dennis Dalton Sr. and her sons Eddie Dalton and Rodric Dalton. She dedicated her life to her husband and her family. She was a proud grandmother and great grandmother. She was a nurse for 41 years and dedicated her life to taking care of others.
She is survived by her daughters Pam Reese and husband Tim and Lois Fulcher and husband Danny and daughter in law Gail Dalton of Georgia. Her grandchildren Daphne and Bubba Harwood, Adam Dalton, Aaron and Clark Graves, Travis Dalton, Brandon and Destiny Fulcher, Zakary and Mackenzie Fulcher and Nine great grandchildren, brothers Norman Kidd & Wife Kitty, Jerry Kidd & wife Lois, Burton Kidd & wife Ruth, Terry Kidd & Mary, Ricky Scarborough & wife Norma and Sister Teresa Capps & husband Don.
She was a woman of Faith and had a servant’s heart. She opened her heart up to others and always had a kind word. Joyce was a member of Mountain Home Baptist church in Edneyville, North Carolina. She served her church and community with humility and grace. She has touched countless lives with her kindness, her generosity and her compassionate heart. Mom left us to receive the Lord’s reward of a good and faithful servant. The absence of her presence will be truly felt by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mt. Home Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Craig Garren officiating. Because of the weather, Joyce has been laid to rest with her husband in Mt. Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
