Claude Calvin “Jack” Coggins 80 of Zirconia NC, went home to he with the Lord on Wed, Jan 15th, 2020 at the Laurel’s of Hendersonville, after a struggle with Melanoma. A lifelong Henderson County Resident he was born on Nov. 19, 1939 to the late Nellie Maybin and Claude F. Coggins. Jack was a loving father, proud grandfather, and beloved big brother. He is survived by his daughter Sonya (Jeff) Webb ; grandchildren Jade and Coal Webb; sister Kay (Wayne) Goins; 2 nieces, 2 nephews and a multitude of cousins and friends. Jack will be sorely missed but not forgotten as forever practicing a green thumb, and his willingness to do and give to others selflessly. The family asks in memory of Jack you perform an act of random kindness to someone through empathy, per his words; “ Everybody needs love and kindness, Christ said, Love one another as I have loved you, and I like doing that.”
“We would like to thank the staff at the Laurel’s for his loving care during these last few months, he knew his favorites by name, and spoke of you often. A memorial service will be planned for “planting season”.
