“Cecilia Anna Margarete Pelser née Wrobel, 89, of Hendersonville, NC passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 16, 2020.
She was born in Breslau, Germany (now Wrocław, Poland) and emigrated to the US with her husband in 1956. They settled in Chicago, IL. They retired to Hendersonville where they lived for almost 30 years. Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Joseph Pelser and her parents, Franz Wilhelm Wrobel and Anna Maria Hedwig Wrobel (née Schwanke).
Cecilia worked at Westinghouse Corp. for many years as an electronics tester. She loved to cook and to try new recipes, especially for others. She kept as active as possible, loved gardening, traveling, was an avid reader and interested in many subjects, including science, nature and finance. She made time to watch “Jeopardy!” every day. Cecilia was a loyal and loving friend, mother and wife, beloved by many. She brightened the life of everyone she met and is greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her brother, Hubertus Wrobel and his three children, and her two daughters, Marie-Monique Patzelt and Barbara Anna Pelser, and her grandson Kevin Patzelt.
A private memorial service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.”
