Rosa Christine Williams Jackson, 95, of East Flat Rock went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 21, 2024 at Laurels of Hendersonville.
A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Pam Morris Williams and wife of the late Clyde Bruce Jackson. She was preceded in death by two children; R. Lawrence Jackson and Wilma Jean Wiseman and six siblings; Elsie Wilson, Charles Williams, Earl Williams, Cassie Stepp, Lou Capps and Linda Williams.
Christine was a longtime member of Union Hill Holiness Baptist Church. She retired from J.P Stevens after twenty plus years of service. She was well known at the Hendersonville Curb Market, having had a table there for thirty-five years. She loved crocheting and canning. She would spend hours canning, just to give it all away, she was a very generous person. In her younger years she was a member of Clyde, Christine and the Master Mountaineers. The Master Mountaineers made a gospel album and played all across the area.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters; Bobbie Hanke (Bill) and Hazel Jones (Jimmy), a grandson; Greg Wiggins (Lisa) and several other grandchildren, and great – grandchildren, one brother; Wayne Williams, one sister; Joyce Anders of East Flat Rock and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at two o’clock in the afternoon at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with Reverend Doug Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Union Hill Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the chapel.
