Mark Andrew Mathis, 54, of Hendersonville passed away Sunday February 04, 2024 at his residence.
A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Conley and Lula Ward Mathis. He was preceded in death by one sister; Sheila Ann Mathis and one brother; Tony Lee Mathis.
Mark was an avid outdoorsman, who had a great passion for fishing and hunting. A stickler for time, Mark was always early for anything he had to do. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Mark was a joy to be around. He was honest and truthful and of course he loved his dogs. Mark was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife; Beverly Tina Mathis, one son; Shane Andrew Mathis (Brittany) and two daughters; Jessica Nicole Hardesty (Brandon) and McKenzie LeAnne Mathis. Five grandchildren; Hunter Chase Mathis, Levi Andrew Mathis, Maci Grace Mathis, Alayna Rose Hardesty and Carson Daniel Cole. Four Brothers; James Conley Mathis (Linda), Bruce Kelly Mathis (Lisa), Fredric Wade Mathis (Debbie) and John Timothy Mathis (Mamie) and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held, Monday February 12, 2024, at two o’clock in the afternoon at Beulah Baptist Church with Reverend Josh Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
