
Earl Ronald Corn, 82, of Hendersonville passed away Thursday February 13, 2025 at his residence.
Earl Ronald Corn (Ron), of Hendersonville, NC passed away peacefully at home, his favorite place to be at the age of 82. He was born on November 18, 1942 to the late James Earl Corn and Evelyn McDaniel Corn, who preceded him in death. His brother, Larry Corn who died as an infant, also preceded him in death.
After graduating from high school, Ron served in the Navy for 12 ½ years, was honorably discharged and very proud of serving his country. Ron ended his time in the service to help care for his ailing parents.
Ron worked in maintenance for many years. He retired from the US Forest Service where he enjoyed teaching students’ maintenance.
Ron was a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Ron gave his life to Christ and exemplified Christ’s love, attending Church every week with his family, serving with the youth group, reading the Bible and with his prayers.
Ron is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Glenda Connor Corn, one son Kyle Corn, a daughter-in-love Cassie and daughter Keisha Corn.
Ron is “Popcorn” to Destiny Roberts and her husband Aaron, Spencer Corn, Kyla Corn, Levi Corn, Gracie Corn, Oliver Corn, Willow Corn, and Melody Corn.
Ron’s favorite place to be was surrounded by his family and he was most proud of how much his family loves each other.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville.
Flowers will be accepted by the family. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life in Hendersonville, NC.
