Christina Belinda Hughey Ciccarelli, 57, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday February 06, 2024.

She was born in 1967 in Bad Nauheim, Germany. She married Matt Ciccarelli who passed away on January 25, 2022.

She and her family lived in the US, Germany, and Belgium.

She visited her grandparents and great-grandparents residing in Germany, and having had learned the language there was no problem communicating.

While living in Hamm Germany and playing her favorite online game, she met a young man from North Carolina. Was it the game or a box of Taco Sauce he had mailed to her for Christmas, she decided to move back to the US and her love for Matt was complete when they got married.

Her love for animals began in her early years, Christina was smart, kind, and intelligent sometimes too impulsive, she enjoyed good cooking, music, drawing, and from early years she showed her knowledge which made us proud.

She and Matt enjoyed traveling to historic places down the East Coast and camping with their beloved four-legged family member Kuma. For a while both worked at the same place, they took pictures of the countryside or weddings of friends till all came to an abrupt halt, Matt, the love of her life passed away in 2022.

Now she had to cope on her own enjoying the love of her animals, dog Kuma, the two guinea pigs, fishes and the chicken Hennifer, Matt had built a coop and laid her first egg, oh was she ever excited, as those little things reminded her of Matts kindness and their love for each other.

Christina will be missed terribly by her Mom, Matts’s family, and friends. Ich werde Dich sehr vermissen und Du bist in Gedanken immer bei mir Deine Mutsch. You will be missed by all the family members in Germany, as well as friends throughout the US and around the world.I loved you with all my heart und ich  werde Dich sehr vermissen Deine Mutsch

Matthew David Ciccarelli passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 due to his big heart just not being strong enough for that horrible disease we’ve had to contend with for far too long.  He was a hard-working, straight-talker and you always knew where you stood. He had a fine sense of morality and justice and was a true patriot of this country. He was the most loving husband a woman could hope for and a great friend to those that earned his trust and respect.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Ciccarelli; his parents, Tom and Melanie Ciccarelli; his dog Kuma and all of the people whose lives he touched and made just a little bit brighter every day.

No local services are planned at this time.
