James C. Emme of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord on the morning of March 2, 2026, at the age of 85. Jim passed after a brave, short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He opted to spend his remaining time at home enjoying his family and friends, watching sports on tv, and viewing the birds visiting the window feeders.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Vivian Emme, his son Chris Emme of Hendersonville, NC, his daughter Suzanne Pompei of New Kent, VA, and his sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Alan Wright of Jesup, IA. Jim enjoyed hearing from his grandchildren, Andrew, Steven and Emily of Richmond, VA and he loved getting photos and videos of his great grandsons, Walker and Corbin. Fly with the angels, Jim! We love you.
