Donald “Don/Donny” Michael Justus Sr., 88, husband of Jean D. Justus, died Thursday, March 7th 2024 surrounded by family.
Born in Hendersonville, NC, he was the son of the late George and Nellie Patterson Justus. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Douglas, Gary, and son Michael Justus Jr.
Mr. Justus was raised in Flat Rock, NC on the dairy farm of George Justus. Don was a resident of Orlando, FL for 30 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and was a retired purchasing director from the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC).
He was an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed cheering on the Tigers, from the stands and tailgating; any chance he could with his cousins Bobby and Martha. He was a loving husband, father, and a wonderful friend. Don adored attending Flat Rock Graduating Class meals monthly, and spending time with former school mates. His warm hugs, bright smile, and jovial nature will be forever cherished and greatly missed.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, Deborah Justus of Flat Rock, NC; son Dustin Justus, and wife Jessica, of Anderson, SC; Bobby Justus of Flat Rock, NC; Martha Justus Carland of Newberry, FL.
The family will receive friends on Saturday March 16, 2024 at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service from two o’clock in the afternoon till four o’clock.
