Glenda Annette Proctor Matthews, 85, of Hendersonville passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Kings Mountain, NC.
Born in Kings Mountain, NC she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mamie Helen Gowan Proctor. She was preceded in death by one son; William (Bill) Matthews and two grandchildren.
Glenda retired from Magnavox and then begin a career as a certified nurse’s assistant and private caregiver. She was proud living on top of the mountain, where she could enjoy her flowers and watch the birds. She loved having her dog as her constant companion.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter; Diana Mitchell (Barry) of Kings Mountain, NC and three sons; David Matthews of Knoxville, TN, Mark Matthews of Asheville, NC and Joe Matthews ( Nikki) of Hendersonville, NC, nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
A private service will be held.
