William Patterson, 80, of Hendersonville died Thursday, March 10, 2022 at his residence.
He was born June 16, 1941, in Crab Creek, a son of the late Avery Patterson and Lucy Mae Miller Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jane Lance Patterson, a daughter, Deborah Stotts, siblings, Thelma Jean Patterson, Carl N. Patterson, Drew Wilson Patterson, James Wiley Patterson, John J. Patterson, Sara Jane Patterson Loftin, Dorothy Ann Peterson Myers, Sherman Patterson, Eugene Patterson, Ronnie Patterson and 1 granddaughter, Elizabeth Patterson.
He was a land surveyor since 1957. He enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Patterson, Billy Patterson, Paul Patterson and wife Heather all of Hendersonville and Misty Dawn Lucia and husband Justin of Weaverville; two sisters, Nellie Gilbert and Margaret Stepp; two brothers, Monroe and Frank Patterson; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 17th at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery following the service.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service starting at 10:00 am.
