Bill Martin passed away on March 16, 2024 after a brief stay at Elizabeth House and a seemingly brief cancer battle.
A native of the Eastern Shore/Annapolis. Md. Bill was a Marine Corp Embassy guard in Rome after high school (glory days) and came home to finish his education at American University where he spent the next 25 years in DC as a contracting officer as a civilian for the Navy Department Poseidon/Polaris project. Retirement was then 7 years at Lockheed Martin at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, also as a contracting officer.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy and also 3 children from a previous marriage, Arnold W. Martin, III (Houston, TX); Stephanie Guindon (Dundelin, FL) and Julie Nicholson (Glen Burnie, MD) and 7 grandchildren.
He loved Hendersonville for the past 22 years and now we have lost our own ‘Larry David’.
