Ronald G. Monroe, 59, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, after a brief illness.

Ronald was preceded in death by his son Kristopher Casey Monroe and his father Granville Monroe. Ron and his son K.C. are together again after 34 long years apart.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bridget Monroe; his two daughters, Mara King (Bob) and Jennifer Sobin (Sean); his son, Ronald Monroe (Itzel); a sister,  Brenda Lee Monroe; He was blessed to be Opi to his three grandchildren, Xaylin, Kaedin and Michaelena Johnson. Ron also had a special bond with Mara’s sister Bryanna Risinger and loved her like a daughter.

Ron was a carpenter by trade but could do all types of construction work and managed the addition to our family home. His hobbies included home projects, knife making, fishing, video gaming and listening to music. Ron was born in Germany in 1964 and was a fantastic cook. He delighted his family with traditional meals from Germany. We especially enjoyed his Blackened Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Wings, Taquitos and Sauerbraten. Ron enjoyed picking out the most meaningful gifts for birthdays and Christmas. They were not about the dollars spent but about the positive impact they would have on the lives of his loved ones. Ron was so very proud of his family and we loved him dearly.

Ron was a proud cancer survivor, and we are comforted knowing he will never have to fight cancer again and is no longer in pain. Ron loved his Lord, and his wife and children are confident in Ron’s everlasting life. We are Joyous that he has family in Heaven to cherish him and a wife and children who will love and miss him until we see him again.

A celebration of Ron’s life took place on 3/24/2024. Friends and family gathered to laugh, eat, and love, which is what Ron wanted for them always.

Jackson Funeral Service is honored to serve the Ronald G. Monroe family.
