Raymond Albert Holland, Sr., 93, died on Monday, March 22, 2021. He was born in Providence Rhode Island in 1927 to Everett J. Holland and Hilma P. Larson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Rosalyn; his daughter, Robin, as well as his grandson Mark Whittier.
He served in the Coast Guard during World War II, and he was employed as an electrical engineer at Hamilton Standard for much of his working life. As a younger man, he never owned a house that didn’t benefit from his hard-work and skilled labor. Though he obviously enjoyed renovation projects; his greatest passion was cruising the Caribbean with his wife and family members. He was able to live for many years soaking up the Florida sun before moving to Hendersonville, NC in his waning years.
He is survived by his son, Ray Holland and his wife Catherine; his two stepchildren, Carol Whittier and William Hill, and by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
