Mary Etta Anders Pace, 82, of East Flat Rock, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Elizabeth House after an extended period of illness.
Mary was born on June 6, 1940, to the late Harley and Ella Mae Anders in Hendersonville, NC. She retired after many years at General Electric.
Mrs. Pace was predeceased by her husband, Charles “JC” Pace; her son, Eric Pace; brothers, Edward and Tommy Anders; sister, Pat Sanders; brother-in-law, Doug Coggins.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Alice Jackson (Dean); son, Charles Brian Pace (Stephanie); grandchildren, Jennifer, Brooke (Hunter), Mikayla (Luke), and Brandi; great grandchildren, Ayden, Bentley, Gideon, and Remington. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Coggins, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express appreciation to the very caring and compassionate staff at the Elizabeth House and her devoted caregiver and friend, Mary Jane Silver.
A memorial service will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Zirconia, NC, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 9:30 AM. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church, Elizabeth House, or Gideons International.
