Bonnie Grace (nee Houchen) Wright, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 in Hendersonville, NC.
Born in Falmouth, KY July 30, 1921, she was the second of four daughters born to Harry Lovelace and Mary (McKenny) Houchen of Falmouuth, KY. She attended Falmouth High School and during World War II worked in Cincinnati, where she met her future husband, Robert H. Wright of Jersey City, NJ. They were married in Flordia in December, 1943; just prior to shipping out to the Pacific Theater.
Bonnie was pre-deceased by by her sisters Francis Tarvin, Mary Jean Houchen and Helen Berne.
She is survived by their son, Dr. Robert Wright, two grandsons, Reverend Doctor William Bradley Wright and his wife Barbie and CW4 (RET) Robert Travis Wright and his wife Tig, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by nephew Dennis Swaney of Cincinnati, OH, nieces Linda Sperber of Atlanta, GA, Janet Bonfield of Cincinnati, OH, Ann Sperber of Indianapolis, IN and nephew David Tarvin of Cynthiana, Ky.
A memorial service will be held Friday April 01, 2022 at four o’clock in the afternoon at Hendersonville First Baptist Church, with the Reverend Brad Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington National Cemetery.
