Jamie Vaccaro, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
She was born November 04, 1977 in Buffalo, New York. Jamie was the youngest daughter of Frank and Wendy Wezler Vaccaro.
Jamie was predeceased by her father; Frank, her grandparents; Norman and Jeanette Wezler and Joseph and Elizabeth Vaccaro, her Godmother; Pat (Salomon Meyer; as well as many aunts and uncles.
Jamie attended Grand Island Senior High School, Class of 1995. She met the love of her life in 1996 and eventually moved to North Carolina. Of their twenty-seven years together, Jamie and Ru celebrated seven years of marriage in July.
Jamie was the heart and soul of her family. She was always there to help or listen. Jamie had a core crew of friends, who were like family to her. She loved all aminals. Sharing a special place in her heart were her dogs, Duke, Blue, Thor and turtle Frankie. Jamie loved adventure and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed going to restaurants, riding her ATV, vacationing, soaking up the sun at the beach and skydiving.
Jamie is survived by her loving husband; Ru Peterson, her beloved son; Zachary, her mother; Wendy Cook and her husband Mike, her brother; Scott J. Vaccaro, her sister; Casey Vaccaro Stradley and her husband Scott, her aunt; Dorothy Wezler-Oberg and her husband Dennis, her aunt and Godmother; Laurie Wezler-Handel and her husband Brian, two nieces; Isabella and Sara and her great uncle and Godfather; Marvin Meyer.
