Alan Patrick Yost, 53, resident of Henderson County, NC, passed away at 3:00 AM on Saturday, April 11th, 2020 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC, from post-operative complications.
Alan was born on Monday, October 31st, 1966 in Mason, Ohio to Daniel and Ann Yost. He had two younger sisters, Amy and Jennifer Yost. At the age of 21, he married his true love Linda Annette Parker on March 19, 1988, and on that day he also became the father of her two sons, Aaron and Andrew.
He spent many years working as a property manager for his father. Alan spent much of his time helping anyone who was in need, and this was his true passion. He never met a stranger in his life.
He found enjoyment in spending time with friends and family. A few of his hobbies include riding his motorcycle, golfing, and being the biggest Ohio State football fan he could be. He truly loved his family, including his self-adopted brother, Jeff Fries.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Cheshire Yost, maternal grandparents Richard and Anna Cheshire, and paternal grandparents Val and Edna Yost.
He is survived by his father, Daniel Valentine Yost, sisters Amy Yost Martin and Jennifer Ann Yost, wife Linda Parker Yost, his two sons Aaron Parker Yost and Andrew Thomas Yost, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13th, 2020, at Stoney Mountain Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. All who attend are welcome to share their stories of Alan.
His parting has taken a piece of all of us. May we fill that void with joyous memories of his wondrous life.
