Villa Holland Freeman, 88, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, at the Elizabeth House, surrounded by comfort and care.

Born in Transylvania County, Villa made her home in Henderson County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Spurgeon Holland and Pauline Parker Holland. She shared a devoted and loving marriage of 53 years with her husband, Teddy Freeman, who preceded her in death in 2015.

Villa was also preceded in death by her precious daughter, Jana Sue Flynn; her brother, Corbett Holland; and her sister, Vista Holland.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, Greg Freeman and Tracy Freeman; and her dearly loved grandchildren, Connor Flynn and Ella Flynn, who brought her great pride and joy.

Villa was a graduate of Brevard High School and later attended Blanton Business College. She was a faithful and devoted member of In Jesus Name Church. Villa retired from General Electric after 36 years of dedicated service, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit.

She found great peace and happiness in gardening, nurturing life from the soil and watching it flourish. Her love for nature was evident in the three acres of beautiful azaleas she planted and cared for over the years. More than anything, Villa will be remembered for her gentle heart and her willingness to help others—her kindness was a blessing to all who knew her.

Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved and rests in eternal peace.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Condolences may be sent to the Freeman family at www.jacksonfuneralservice.com or C/O Jackson Funeral Service 1101 Greenville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Please include the name of the deceased on the condolence.
