Carolyn Ann Komant Meinhardt

Carolyn Ann Meinhardt, 79, of Hendersonville, went to live with her heavenly father on Saturday, April 17, 2021. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edmund and Asta Peterson Komant on April 28, 1941. Carolyn led a great life, her path took her from serving as Miss Maine to that of a Hollywood actress. Her love of art, ability to inspire, and desire to serve community meant a great deal to her and she was able to accomplish all of these through the Art League on Main Street. She shared and showed the love of Christ to all she met and had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for many years. She was an exemplary mother and dear friend to so many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Meinhardt; son, Mark Scott Vliet, and sister, June Tucarella.
She is survived by her sons, Erik (Teresa) Vliet and Kirk (Katrina) Lavender; grandchildren, Shaula, Ashley, Julien, Joseph, Jakeb, Jozelynn, Ryan and Whitney; great grandchildren, Riley, Harper, Verona, Sylas, and Josey; cat, Tiger, and many special friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 1st at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2005 Brevard Road, Hendersonville, NC 28791.
