It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother Vera Ann Jackson Sizemore who passed away peacefully at Four Seasons Hospice on April 26, 2025 at the age of 91.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance.

With her many friends over the years she shared strength, kindness and steadfast love and loyalty leaving behind a legacy of joy and compassion.

Mom dedicated her life to her family and friends nurturing her children, grandchildren, and countless others who touched her life. She was a pillar of support, always offering a listening ear, a warm embrace, and unwavering encouragement.

Born and raised in Hendersonville, Mom was the proud daughter of Clyde S. and Kate G. Jackson who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brother, J. Fred Jackson, husband, Stewart Anderson Sizemore, sons Theodore Kelly Sizemore and Stewart Anderson “Andy” Sizemore Jr..

Mom leaves behind her children, Kent Jackson Sizemore (Hendersonville), Lisa G. Sizemore (Hendersonville & Murrells Inlet, SC), her brother Charles E. Jackson of Hendersonville, NC, daughter-in-law Tracy Totten Sizemore (Dunedin, FL),
her “adopted children”, Chip Brodie (Hendersonville), Don “Cecil” Mayer (Taylors, SC), Diane Mayer (Taylors, SC), and Barry “Biscuit” Bonnett (Hendersonville), Clay Krause (Hendersonville),
her grandchildren, Gerald Anderson Sizemore (Savannah) (Tampa, FL) and Jacob Jackson Sizemore (Dunedin, FL and the world),
her great grandson Fisher Anderson Sizemore (Tampa, FL),
along with many, many nieces and nephews, all of whom felt her warmth and generosity.

Please join us to celebrate our Mom’s life with a memorial service on Friday May 2nd, 2025 at the Chapel in the Pines, Jackson Funeral Home. Visitation 12-1pm with service to follow.

In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to Four Seasons Hospice, Hendersonville, NC, who smoothed our way during this difficult time, or make a donation to your local animal rescue in memory of our Mom.
