Joyce Lindgren Whitesides, 89 of Mills River went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday April 28, 2022 from the Elizabeth House.
Joyce was the daughter of the late Millard “Doc” and Ethel Bias Robinette . She was preceded in death by her husbands Marvin Lindgren and Harold Whitesides. In addition to her husbands, Joyce was preceded in death by one son, Marshal Lindgren and four siblings, Betty Brumfield, Linda Noe, Fred Robinette and Billy Robinette.
A life long learner and teacher by profession, she was also well known for playing the piano and organ. She loved to read and write poems. She faithfully attended New Beginnings Baptist Church in Mills River. Joyce was dedicated to her family and church. She had served the Lord her entire life. Joyce had a servant’s heart and was very giving.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Brent Lindgren and his wife Beth. Two grandchildren, Breanna (Austin) Myers of Pisgah Forest and Branson Lindgren of the home. One sister Ada McCornmick of Alton, IL and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday May 01, 2022 at three o’clock in the afternoon at Mud Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Billy Balcom will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will be held.
