Elizabeth Dunn Filer Kimberling, 92, of Hendersonville, passed away May 01, 2021 at the Elizabeth House.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence Wallace Dunn and Muriel Marshall Dunn Young of Norfolk, Virginia.
Educated in Virginia Schools. Married Keith F. Filer and moved to Miami in 1953. She was a member of the Miami Shores Presbyterian Church.
Moved to Hendersonville in the 1970’s. Lived in Bonclarken and was a member of Pinecrest Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Circle 4. She was a volunteer for many years with The Bible Club at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church.
She was also a member of the Shrine Ladies Auxiliary.
Liz was the widow of John W. Kimberling who passed away in 2004.
She is survived by her son, Keith F. Filer Jr. and wife Linda; granddaughter, Tammy Laughter and husband Jeff; great grandson, Christopher Laughter; great-great grandchildren, Mason, Lawson and Delaynie Laughter all of Southhaven, MS; cousins, H.C. Dunn and wife Ellen of Connecticut, and William Dunn and wife Jackie of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews of Florida and Virginia.
Services will be 2:00 PM, August 5, 2021 at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church at the Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rhett Carson and Rev. Charles Evans officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinecrest Presbyterian Church, PO Box 421, Flat Rock, NC 28731 and Bonclarken Conference Center, 500 Pine Drive, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
