May 2, 2026

Deborah “Debbie” Orr Bush went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 02, 2026.

Debbie was born on October 27, 1951 to Anderson and Peggy Orr in Mountain Home, NC, where she proudly lived her entire life. She was preceded in death by her father Anderson Orr.

Debbie’s life was never about her. It was all about her relationship with God and her salvation. The love of Jesus shone through her everyday. She would often say “Lord, use me today for your glory!”

Debbie’s life was lived in service to others. There was nothing she would not do to help a friend, neighbor, family member or even a stranger.

Debbie even chose the nursing profession, which allowed her to care for and minister to others. She was loved and well respected by so many in our community through her work as a nurse for over 25 years.

Her happiest times were spent in the Lord’s house with her brothers and sisters in Christ, but being with and caring for her three grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bob Bush; her mother, Peggy Orr; two daughters, Beth (Billy) Robertson, Vicki Irwin; three grandchildren, Logan and Anna Robertson and Grace Irwin; two great granddaughters, Rory and Anderson Irwin; two brothers, Mike (Polly) Orr, and Gary (Jetta) Orr as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held, Saturday, May 09, 2026 at eleven o’clock in the morning at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville.. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.

Please “come as you are” … no fuss, no special preparation, nothing fancy.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Love in Action Fund at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville.

We look forward to celebrating this very special life that was so well lived.

Condolences may be sent to the Bush family at www.jacksonfuneralservice.com or C/O Jackson Funeral Service 1101 Greenville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Please include the name of the deceased on the condolence.
