Joey Lawerence Barnwell was the devoted son of William “Bill” and Miladine ”Polly”, a dedicated husband, loving father, faithful brother, attentive uncle, doting grandfather and a friend to many.
Despite his many wrong turns, he finally surrendered his heart to the Lord and his love for God, family, and friends was clear to all who knew him.
Born October, 31, 1961, he was a wonderful present for his father’s 20th birthday. His siblings, Tammy and Gary followed, completing the family.
He grew up going to his Grandparent’s home and hanging out with his teenage uncles, Glen and Hubert. There he learned responsibility for animals and a love for old things.
He went to Mills River Elementary School, then to Rugby Middle School as well as attending West High School. He enjoyed church, boy scouts, football, hunting, fishing, canoeing and dirt bike racing.
He is loved and missed by many people.
