Allan Lee Henderson, 69, of Hendersonville passed away Saturday May 07, 2022 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Cecil Lee and Elizabeth Ann Rockach Henderson. He was preceded in death by one sister Keran Ann Henderson.
A farmer by profession, he was an innovator in the agricultural field, developing a sprayer calibration program for apples. He was a diplomat to Cuba, speaking before congress on multiple occasions. He was also an assistant scout master troop 625, who enjoyed outdoor adventures. He was a member of NC Apple Growers Association and inaugural member of the US Food Safety Standards Committee
Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Christopher Lee Henderson of Hendersonville and Steven Allan Henderson and his wife Rachel of Fort Mill, SC, two grandsons, Seth and Sawyer Henderson both of Fort Mill, SC and one sister Lynne Sellers of Hendersonville, NC
A Celebration of Life, will be held, Friday June 17, 2022 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
