Danny Lee Tabor

Danny Lee Tabor was born on June 5^th, 1955 at Pardee Hospital.  He was a native and longtime resident of Hendersonville, NC.  He was always proud to say that he was a “local”. He attended Edneyville High School and had a tremendous amount of school spirit for the “Edneyville Yellow Jackets”.

     Danny was the son of Baisden and Edwina Tabor, who preceded him in death.  He was married to Peggy Hawkins and had a son together, Grant William Tabor.  Danny and Peggy divorced many years ago but remained friends and shared the love of their son, Grant.  Sadly, after many years of illness, Grant passed away on April 26, 2015.  Danny was very close to his son, Grant, and was heartbroken over his loss until his own death on May 10, 2021 when he went to be with the Lord and his son.

     He leaves behind a sister, Rebecca Tabor and a brother, Timothy Tabor.  He also has three grandkids, Jonathan Tabor, Brittany Towne and Hunter Tabor, who are the children of Grant and Amy Tabor.   He has one great-granddaughter, Milli-Ann Towne,  “Little brat”. He also had a step-daughter and her two children that were very close to him, Vickie Levi, her kids Natasha Levi and Michael Levi.

     Danny had a funny sense of humor and loved to give everyone he met cute nicknames especially his family.  He also took great joy in his tradition of “smutting” the grandkids with soot on their birthdays. Family and friends were important to Danny and he spent a great deal of his time traveling the country side going to visit them.  He loved the outdoors and working as a Landscaper. It was a perfect match for him. Danny cherished the time spent around people he loved and cared for. It was one of the many things he enjoyed about life.

    Danny loved the Lord and was saved at the time of his passing.  He was a Deacon and active member of AGAPE Church in Hendersonville.  His Pastor, John Gary, had many nice things to share about Danny’s giving nature and the fellowship that he contributed to the church and his community.  To show their love and appreciation, the church choir offered to come and sing for Danny’s Memorial Service.  Danny was loved and will be missed by many.
