Barbara Ann Waycaster Morgan, 69, of Arden, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 13, 2022 at Mission Hospital.
A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Earl Waycaster and Doris Moss Waycaster of Mills River, NC
Barbara was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was retired from Food Lion, where she worked as the deli-manager. Barbara was a people person. She enjoyed talking and interacting with her family and many friends.
In addition to her mother Doris, those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 51 years, Gary Morgan; one son, Rodney Morgan and his wife Melinda; one daughter, Tammy Elkins all of Arden, NC; three grandchildren, Isaiah Elkins and his wife Lynsey of Chapel Hill, NC, Summer Elkins of Raleigh, NC and Autumn Elkins of Chapel Hill, NC; three sisters, Debra Fitzgerald and her husband Les, Benita Harris and Nancy Waycaster and her husband Bradley Johnston, all of Mills River, NC and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Friday May 20, 2022 at 11 o’clock in the morning in the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. The Reverends, Keith Norris and Scott Moody will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday May 19, 2022 from 7PM to 8:30 PM in The Chapel in The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. At other times, the family will be at the home.
