Anne Louise Bolser, 73, of Mountain Home, North Carolina, entered eternity on May 17, 2026. Born on July 26, 1952, Anne lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep compassion, and a steadfast spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
The oldest daughter of Donald Blake Bolser and Gloria Anne Bolser (Jarvis), Anne grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Joseph Bolser.
Anne is survived by her older brother David Bolser and his wife Debby of Dana, NC; her sisters Kathy Hopson and husband Tony of Berryville, VA, and Dorothy Rogers of Asheville, NC; her youngest brother Michael Bolser and wife Lynn of Fairview, NC; and her sister‑in‑law Hoonam Bolser of Laurel, MD. She also leaves behind her beloved nephews Ben Rogers (Amanda), Jeremy Rogers (Abrean), Chris Bolser, Seth Rogers (Robyn), Max Bolser (Ana), Luke Bolser, and her niece Emily Anne San George (Nick) as well as the newest addition great-nephew Colter Rogers.
To her nieces and nephews, she was simply “Annie”—a constant source of love, encouragement, and gentle guidance. She played an integral role in each of their lives, celebrating their milestones, supporting their dreams, and offering the kind of unconditional love that shapes a lifetime.
Anne graduated from Bethel High School in Bethel, Connecticut, in 1970. She later earned her degree in Horticulture, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Northern Virginia Community College. Her passion for plants and growing things led her to a long and dedicated career at Van Wingerden International in Mills River, where she worked for more than 35 years before retiring in 2019.
She loved to travel, to hike, and to spend peaceful hours birdwatching—finding joy and wonder in the natural world. The birds of Mountain Home, who she faithfully fed and watched with delight, will miss her gentle presence and plentiful supply of food.
Anne faced many physical challenges throughout her life, yet she met each one with remarkable resilience, courage, and grace. Her strength was quiet but unwavering, a testament to the depth of her faith and character.
Above all, Anne loved Jesus, carrying a strong, steady faith that guided her steps and sustained her through every season. Her trust in God was sincere and enduring, a light to those around her.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at a future date, to be announced by the family.
They look forward to gathering with all who loved her to honor her memory with gratitude, stories, and the hope she carried so deeply.
