Deborah Lee Jackson Boston

Born 1957 in Cuba, NY, Deborah was raised in Obi and Olean, NY. She graduated Olean High School in June 1975 and graduated University of Pittsburgh with an associate degree. She was a beloved granddaughter, daughter, sister, niece and most recently a loving wife to Kenneth Boston.

For 60 years I had the privilege of her being my big sister. She always cared and looked out for me – the “little sis”. Thank you, Debbie. Thank you, God for the gift of her.

As a daughter, she took care of our mother without hesitation and held nothing back to give Mom the ultimate care without placing her in a facility. The friendship and provision she gave astonished everyone, even the medical team. Many times, she worked 2 jobs and was always reliable and consistent keeping her employment record impeccable.

As an Aunt to my three children she was absolutely amazing! Whether it be extravagant trips to Canada, going to Broadway theater shows, trips to Disney World and sometimes just an adventurous day out including over nights with dinner at McDonald’s. She always made it special for them. She loved them deeply from her heart and they love her immensely. She invested in them with more than just her time.

We lift up praise and gratitude to God for giving us the years shared with her. She will always be remembered in our hearts. May we all be comforted by the Holy Spirit through our grieving the loss of her life, for her presence will always remain with us.

From Ashley: Aunt Debbie was one of the most selfless people I knew, She always put family first. She was goofy at times and always lent a shoulder when you needed it. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with her, we went on vacations, saw Broadway shows and went on shopping trips. Although some of the best times were just having a sleepover and spending time together. Now all grown up, I cherish all the things she did with me and I am grateful to have the memories to hold on to. Aunt Debbie was a very special person and will be greatly missed. I love you.Her nick name for Ashley, “The Little Turd Bird.”

“Like aunt – like niece” leaning out from one another and not into the hug, “we’re just NOT the hug and kissey face kinda people”.

Stephany’s memories of Aunt Debbie are how she used to flicker the lights on and off to tell us it was time to stop playing in the downstairs play area and come up to get ready for winding down and bed time, when we had over nights, no yelling, just flickering those lights. Aunt Debbie would get upset when we would put our arms up over our heads on the roller coasters and pirate ship ride at Seabreeze. Aunt Debbie’s nick name for Stephany: “Tweety Bird” because of her big blue eyes.

With love from Braxton Parker.

Aunt Debbie-
You were the most selfless person I know. You always put others before yourself and knew how to make everyone laugh even during some of the rough times. Some of my best memories as a child was spending the weekends at your house. Always making sure we’re having a great time even if it meant going on roller coasters that you were scared of. You will never be forgotten.

Always remember I love you! – Brandy Lynn “Bugga-boo”
