Carolyn Freeman Harris, age 86, of Fairview, NC, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, at Advent Health, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on May 1, 1939, in Bat Cave, North Carolina, Carolyn lived a life centered around faith, family, and simple joys. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William A. Harris, with whom she shared 27 years of love and devotion.
Carolyn was the proud mother of five children: Diane Kennison (Ernie), Timmy Harris, Paul Harris, Tommy Harris (Tara), and Naomi Harris. She leaves behind a legacy of love and care through her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply cherished.
Her life’s work was lovingly devoted to raising her children, a role she embraced with unwavering strength and grace. Carolyn found joy in the quiet moments — tending her garden and watching her favorite Hallmark Channel movies. Her warm heart, gentle nature, and enduring faith left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at Bearwallow Baptist Church in Gerton, NC on Sunday June 1st. Visitation will start at 1:00pm with a service following at 2:00pm.
