Judith Rhodes Cairnes 68 of Dana unexpectedly left to reunite with her husband in Heaven on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at her home.
She was born September 16, 1956 in Akron Ohio, but grew up in Frostproof FL. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Gene Rhodes and Marjorie Wearley Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin K. Cairnes Sr, one sister Diana Smith and two brothers George and Larry Rhodes, and one great grandchild Riley.
Anyone who knew Judy, knew about her love for salt and pepper shakers. She collected over 10,000 sets in her lifetime. Starting with her first set she bought her parents when she was five years old. She also was our family’s historian. She made sure we knew where our roots came from and passed it on to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by the light of her life, her cat of nineteen years Georgie; three daughters; Crystal and Bobby Corn, Kathy and Wayne Sinclair, and Sheila Bousson. Two sons, Marvin and Janie Cairnes and Kenny and Terri-Lynn Cairnes; her grandkids, Cole McCoy, Correy Bousson, Natalie Corn and Chris, Tequila Cairnes, Marvin Cairnes, Timmy Bousson and Machiah, Julia McCoy and Lenny, Sydney Corn and Jay, Jaden Cairnes, Charlie Cairnes, Margie Cairnes, Jonnie Cairnes And Natalya Murphy; great grandkids, Skyler, Leland, London, Linkin, Hayleigh, Zayvie, Emerald and Theo; Two brothers, Ronnie Rhodes and Dale and Gail Rhodes; three sisters, Susie Teague, Kathy and Nathan Thompson and numerous other family members, including brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
Judy loved flowers and they are greatly appreciated for the funeral service.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 02, 2025 at Fruitland Baptist Church at two o’clock in the afternoon with the Reverend Chris Pace officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will follow the service at Shepherd Memorial Park.
