Jean Wilson Pace, 91, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2022.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Jessie Wolfe Wilson, sisters, Nancy Lemmon and Mary Derrickson and a grandson, Jonathan Pace.
She was a member of Shaw’s Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Hunter Chevrolet after ten years of service and had also worked at First Federal Bank and Northwestern Bank.
She was a 40 year member of the Hubert M. Smith American Legion Auxiliary Post #77 and the Hedrick- Rhodes VFW post #5206.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Rufus “Pooch” Pace Sr.; her children, Gary Marfin Pace and his wife Marie of Hendersonville, Donna Jean Morris and her husband Chris of Hendersonville and R. Dewey Pace Jr. and his wife Cecelia of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Marcesa Harper and her husband Joshua of Hendersonville, Nathaniel Pace of Hendersonville, Nicolas Pace of Hendersonville, Mitchel Pace and his wife Alexandra of Boone, NC, Shelbi Pace of Hendersonville and Avery Pace of Hendersonville; great grandchildren, Harwin Harper and Finley Harper both of Hendersonville; her siblings, Elaine Johnson of Delaware and Tom Wilson and his wife Lori of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2nd from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Shaw’s Creek Baptist Church. A service will follow with Rev. Collin Terenzini officiating. The family will have a private burial after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elizabeth House.
