Barbara Ann Doyle, 87, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Barbara was the daughter of the late Willis Huron Strawser and Doris Pauline Fitzgerald Strawser. She was the beloved wife of 49 years to Johnny Doyle, who preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Doyle.
Barbara was a woman of remarkable strength, courage, and love. In 1985, she and her husband founded General Auto Repair and Tire, building not only a successful business but also lasting friendships throughout the community. A woman of Baptist faith, Barbara lived her life guided by compassion, hard work, and a genuine love for others. She never met a stranger, and those who knew her were drawn to her warm heart and caring spirit.
Barbara found great joy in gardening and yard work and took pride in creating beauty wherever she lived. She loved birds and wildlife and enjoyed spending time outdoors, appreciating God’s creation. Above all, she cherished her family and the many precious moments shared with them through the years.
Left to cherish her memory are her four sons, Jim Doyle (Joann), Michael Doyle (Elsa), David Doyle, and Patrick Doyle; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Deloris Dorsch (Jerry) and Donna Cook (Danny); and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Four Seasons Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided to Barbara during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice.
A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
Barbara’s strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
