Elizabeth “Beth” Lyford Reamy, 80, of Flat Rock, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Pardee Hospital.
Beth was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 24, 1940. She attended Bennett College and met the love of her life, Bolivar “Bob” Reamy, at her sister’s home in Lexington, KY in 1960. Beth and Bob married on April 8, 1961 in Cincinnati and remained happily married for 60 years. Beth is survived by her husband, four children, Lee, George, Ted and Meg, and eight grandchildren, all of whom will deeply miss their wife, mother and Grammy.
Beth was a Christian woman and was very active with her church; first with Trinity Church in Northport, NY and later with Calvary Church in Fletcher, NC. Beth was a facilitator of the Young People’s Fellowship, a member of the Altar Guild at Trinity and the Daughters Of The King at Calvary. Beth was a happy, loving person and always put others ahead of herself. She loved art and nature, and her family will always remember her when we hear a bird sing, the wind blow, or the thunder rumble.
A Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church, Fletcher, NC on Thursday July 8th at 11:00am. A reception will follow.
