Cassandra Johnson (Cass) Mullen, 59, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Elizabeth House.
Cass was a native of Charleston, South Carolina, moving to Hendersonville around 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Robert and Nora Johnson.
Cass has always had a passion for medicine and has spent her entire adult life in the medical career. She spent many years working in her father’s medical practices in Charleston. After moving to Hendersonville, Cass returned to nursing school in order to further her education. Immediately after graduating from Blue Ridge Community College, she began working at Park Ridge Health as an RN. She spent time on many units including in the ICU, Emergency Room, and The Baby Place throughout her career up until the day she got sick. She was known for her unwavering dedication to her patients as well as for her infectious laugh and strong personality.
She is survived by her son, Hunter Mullen of Hendersonville; three brothers Rob Johnson Jr. (Patty) of Charleston, SC, Mark Johnson (Lana) of Fort Worth, TX, and Steve Johnson (Tammy) of Columbia, SC. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, additional family, and dear friends.
