Coy Monroe Hill, 67, of Hendersonville, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Charles George Veterans Hospital in Asheville, NC.
Coy proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed many years in the construction and trucking industry. Before his illness forced his retirement, he was the owner of Golden Hill Pallet Company for several years.
He was born in Greenville, SC, but spent the majority of his life in Hendersonville, NC. Coy was the youngest child born to Ethel McCrain Hill and Frank Lee Hill, who proceeded him in death. He was also proceeded in death by four brothers, Brownlowe Hill, Calvin Hill, Ralph Hill, and Doyce Dean Hill, and five sisters Helen Lindsey, Dorothy Dunlap, Joyce Garland, Mae Barnette, and Betty Jean Hill.
Left to cherish his memory is one brother, Larry Hill, and two sisters, Linda Spratt (Marc) and Evelyn Hill-King of Hendersonville. Several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. He had one special great nephew Jase Burrell, the apple in his eye who brought much enjoyment to him in his illness.
There will be a memorial service honoring him at a private family Celebration of Life at a later date.
