LJ “Uncle Bill” Darden Jr., 48, of Hendersonville, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his residence following a long illness.
He was the son of the late LJ Darden, Sr., and Joyce A. Watkins Darden of Hendersonville.
Bill loved to spend time on the creek bank fishing. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the L.A. Lakers. Uncle Bill was a good, kind hearted man who loved kids. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, survivors include, his wife, Crystal Robinson Darden; one daughter, Alexis Jade Clark; two brothers, James Darden, of Richmond, TX., and Kenneth Smith, of Hendersonville; one sister, Reva Watkins of Enterprise, AL.; his special niece, Lashay Whiteside, of Hendersonville and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday July 02, 2020 at 2pm at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Rev. Eric Gash officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
In honor of LJ, the family encourages everyone to wear a jersey showing support of your favorite sports team.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help offset funeral expenses.
