She was a servant of the town as she spent her free time volunteering at the Elizabeth House gardens or First Baptist Church of Hendersonville where she was a lifelong member. She was the matriarch of the Roper family hosting holidays that will be held close to the family’s hearts as they reflect back on their time with her. The family is forever grateful for the exemplary care she received at Carolina Village during her time there.
Susan is survived by her loving children, Mike Roper and his wife Laura, Kathleen Sutton and her husband Tom, Jeff Roper and his wife Lauren, Kelly Roper and his life partner Mike Miconi, and five grandchildren Stephen Roper, Christopher Roper, Adam Roper, Meghan Roper and Savanna Roper whom she dearly loved.
